Amid the excitement in the room and the talking and laughter of all the family I had never met before, Les and I sat quietly. He smiled at me. Then told me something that made me laugh, and nudged my elbow. I was instantly his friend. He made me feel like part of the family. 
When Les smiled, he smiled with his whole being. His kindness and his big heart were the twinkle in his eyes. His heart touched many and that is one way he will live on.
